Ghana FA communications director Henry Asante Twum has given fans a big boost by confirming that all the Black Stars players are fit ahead of the decisive World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
He explained that the technical team is hopeful the squad will come through their weekend club games without any injuries.
“Yes our information from their clubs normally if you are doing call ups it is one of the things that you do. You have to talk to all the clubs of the players you have decided to invite especially the club medical staff and our medical staff on the medical update on each player," he told Peace FM as monitored by Ghanasoccernet.com
"For now all the players are medically sound however this weekend they are all going to play so this then turns into a nail-biting situation. But we hope nothing will happen that will turn into someone getting injured and dropping out,”
The Black Stars are scheduled to train three times in Morocco before their October 8 clash at Stade d'Honneur de Meknes. Ghana sits top of Group I with 19 points and eyes a fifth World Cup appearance.
