The convoy of the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Alhaji Mohammed Boateng, has been attacked by armed robbers as they were returning from a rally from his hometown, Namasa, in the Tain District of the Bono Region.
According to the Bono Regional Chairman of the NDP, Evans Mensah, who was traveling with the chairman and his entourage, the incident occurred on the Nsawkaw-Wenchi road around 8:00pm on their way to Sunyani.
Though there was no casualty recorded, their wind screens were broken and the body of their vehicles riddled with gun shots.
The case has therefore been reported to the Wenchi police station for further investigation.
