The Abeka District Court has deferred its judgment concerning Mawarko supervisor, Jihad Chaaban because both parties have agreed on terms of settlement.
The presiding judge, Victoria Afia Quansah however says Evelyn Boakye is only a party to the civil case but the criminal aspect still stands.
She has therefore adjourned her judgment to August 2 to study the terms of settlement before the final ruling. Kasapa FM’s Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman, who was at the Abeka District Court reported that the lawyer for the accused person, Julio De Medeiros pleaded with the court to consider their terms of settlement.
The accused person was first arraigned on the 8th of March 2017 and he was charged with three counts of causing harm, assault and offensive conduct which led to the breach of peace in a public place. He however pleaded not guilty to all three counts at the first court sitting.
After four months of open court trial, the case hopefully was expected to put to rest this morning when Magistrate Victoria Ghansah delivers the verdict of the court.
