According to him, the sea port has become a major revenue point for the country and the strategic direction of the board will help boost profit.
He also advice the board not to take over the day to day management of GPHA, urging the board to be a policy implementing agency.
“Many a time, you put in the board and then they intend to run through the organisation. There is always a conflict between the board and management,” he said.
He further urged the board and management to work together to realise the vision of president Akufo-Addo.

GPHA board chairman Mr Peter Mac Manu said the new board will strive to initiate policies and programmes that will reduce turning around time of vessels and speed up cargo clearance.
He also promised to lead GPHA with exemplary leadership and skills as well as position GPHA as the centre of logistic excellence and efficiency.
