Video: Borax peeved with gov’t over no-show at anti-corruption song launch

Musician Borax is not pleased that his new initiative aimed at fighting corruption is not getting any support from the government.

According to him, the attitude of some government functionaries does not show their readiness to join the fight against corruption.

The musician recently launched his new anti-corruption track dubbed ‘Aban Kawa’ which throws light on the possible penalties for corruption.

Borax is peeved that the launch was poorly attended by government officials even though the song could enhance government's fight against corruption.

Speaking to JoyNews’ MzGee, a furious Borax indicted some ministers including sector Minister Catherine Afeku and the office of the Special Prosecutor. 

“It is so sad and I am pissed in the sense that if your office has been allocated specially or specifically to fight corruption and there is such a beautiful song to get your message across [you must support it]. I don’t see the essence of the office of the Special Prosecutor,” he said.

“I wrote to the Ministry of Communication also, I wanted to have the launch there so the minister can communicate the laudable message to the President but I don’t know if it because of the idea of fighting corruption that they didn’t like so they didn’t give the location. This is my question, is the minister for or against it?” he quizzed.

“It seems like they talk, we are fighting corruption, we want to fight to corruption but their deed does not show that indeed they want to fight corruption.  So are they for or against and from the look of things I can say that they are against,” Borax concluded.
