Kumasi Asante continued their impressive away performance this season by pipping Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs by a lone goal in Cape Coast, in their match week 7 outstanding match.
Kotoko started the attrition early in the game by pinning the home side to their own half in the greater portion of the first half, but Dwarfs remained resilient and occasionally tested the visitor’s defense.
After series of chances were missed in the first half, both sides resumed the second half strongly, but it was Kotoko who had their efforts rewarded.
Christopher Nettey registered his name on the scoreboard for Kotoko on the 70th minute mark, following Patrick Asmah’s free kick.
Dwarfs vehemently protested, claiming Christopher Nettey was in an offside position before he got the ball into the net, but their protest was ignored.
The Crabs came into the game strongly with the hope to pull parity, but their last minute pressure failed to succeed due to the Porcupines’ resolute defence.
