Accra Lions FC pat chemical giants Arpadis for sponsorship despite Ghana football 'in coma'

Accra Lions FC have expressed appreciation to Arpadis for their decision to sponsor the club despite Ghana football in turmoil.

The Division One League side announced a partnership with the Belgium-based chemical distribution company on Thursday.

Arpadis did not hesitate to sponsor the club although there has been no football activity in Ghana since June.

This was after the airing of a documentary by investigative journalist Anas Armeyaw Anas where some officials were captured accepting bribes.

A club statement read: ''Accra Lions Football Club are honoured to be supported by such a respected partner, in times when Ghanaian football is facing difficult conditions.''
