Tamso Senyakrom (W/R), Feb. 26, GNA - The former Proprietor of Divine Victory Academy at Tamso Senyakrom in the Tarkwa Nsueam Municipality, has been stabbed to death in his residence at Senyakrom, near Nsuta.
The deceased, David Augustus Eshun, 69, who has been suffering from stroke, was reportedly attacked and killed by unknown assailants after his wife had left for evening church service.
Superintendent of Police Augustine Anyarah, the Divisional Crime Officer, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency.
He said on Wednesday February 21, Madame Baah, left the deceased alone in the house and went for church service.
Mr Anyarah said when she returned from the church service, her husband was seen lying in a pool of blood on their corridor and informed the police night patrol team at 2030 hours.
When the patrol team proceeded to the scene they realised the deceased had multiple wounds on the body had already passed away.
Mr Anyarah said personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Tarkwa Police Command were dispatched to the deceased house that night to help them gather enough information.
He said when the CID personnel led by Detective Inspector Clement Amoah moved to the house, they only detected that the room of deceased’s son, who was away at school, had been ransacked.
The Divisional crime officer explained that the police has begun investigations into the matter and appealed to the public to assist them with any information.
He said the body has been deposited at the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital morgue for autopsy.
