Isaac Asante, the Belgian-Ghanaian attacking midfielder at Panevezys, has been linked with a move to fellow Toplyga club Suduva.
Asante has made 23 league appearances for Panevezys in 2026, scoring four goals and providing three assists. He has also featured in both of the club’s Conference League qualifying matches this season, registering one assist.
The 24-year-old joined Panevezys from Belgian side KV Mechelen on a free transfer in February 2025. He helped the Lithuanian club win the Lithuanian Cup in his first season.
Asante began his senior career with OH Leuven after progressing through the youth systems at Lokeren and OH Leuven. He later played for OH Leuven Under-23 and Jong KVM before moving to Mechelen’s senior squad.
A move to Suduva would keep Asante in Lithuania’s top flight, where he has continued to feature regularly for Panevezys. He has started 52% of the club’s Toplyga matches this season and has been involved in 24% of its league goals.
The rumour emerged on 11 September, with no transfer fee or probability attached to the proposed move. Asante’s contract with Panevezys runs until 31 December 2026.
