âDutch-Ghanaian attacker Emanuel Poku produced a decisive display, setting up two goals in Almere City FC’s 3â1 away win over Vitesse in the Eerste Divisie.
Poku first slipped a precise pass into the box for Julian Rijkhoff, who opened the scoring on 13 minutes to give the visitors an ideal start at GelreDome. Although Adam Tahaui levelled for Vitesse just before half-time, Almere regained control after the break and grew into the game.
Ferdy Druijf restored Almere’s lead on 63 minutes, turning in Boyd Reith’s low cross as the visitors punished Vitesse on the counter. Poku then capped his performance with a second assist in the 76th minute, driving at the home defence before teeing up Druijf again to make it 3â1 and effectively kill the contest.
The attacker, who has now made 30 league appearances with 8 goals and 5 assists in the 2025/26 Eerste Divisie, underlined his growing importance to Almere’s attack.
Almere City FC now turn their attention to a home clash against RKC Waalwijk on Tuesday, March 17, as they look to build on this momentum.
