Leslie Adjei Okai continued his fine form in Spain after scoring for Valencia Mestalla in their victory over Espanyol B in the Segunda División B.
The 20-year-old left-back found the net as Valencia’s reserve side secured an important result, capping off an impressive week for the Ghanaian defender. His latest goal comes just days after he scored a brace, taking his tally to four goals across all competitions this season.
Okai’s rise reflects a journey built on resilience and support from his community in Labadi Apaapa. Growing up with limited resources, he relied on local backing to take his first steps in football before earning an opportunity abroad.
He later moved to the United States to join Montverde Academy, where he spent three years developing his game and adapting to a new environment. His performances there paved the way for a move to Valencia CF.
Now progressing through the ranks at Valencia Mestalla, Okai is gaining attention for his attacking contribution from defence and consistent displays.
