Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko is hoping the club’s supporters will turn up in large numbers this Sunday when the team hosts Young Apostles at the TnA Stadium.
Medeama go into the game in good shape after a strong run of results, and Tanko believes the energy from the stands can play a key role again. The coach points to the recent home match against Hearts of Oak, where a big turnout helped lift the team to an important victory.
The Mauve and Yellows have won three matches and drawn two in their last five games, a run that has pushed them to the top of the table at the end of the first round. With the second round beginning, Tanko wants the team and fans to continue the journey together.
“ Yes, I think I always said and we are doing these things together and they came in their numbers against Hearts of Oak and that give us the backing and to get the three points. I hope that this Sunday they will come. We are starting the second run. We finish the first run. We are at the top. So I hope that they will come in their numbers to back us so that we go the journey with them. " he told Medeama TV.
Medeama play Young Apostles on January 11, with kick off at 3:00 pm.
