Ghana international Fatawu Issahaku is determined to help Leicester City bounce back in their next match following a dramatic 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace over the weekend.
The 20-year-old winger came off the bench in the 72nd minute at Selhurst Park on Saturday, as the Foxes were held to a thrilling stalemate. Leicester City appeared to be heading for victory until a stoppage-time penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta secured a point for the home side.
Issahaku took to Instagram after the match, saying: “Good effort lads. We learn from the positive ones and back stronger on Saturday. Thanks to the traveling fans.”
Leicester took the lead in the 21st minute through Jamie Vardy, set up by Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi. Stephy Mavididi then extended their lead just a minute into the second half. However, Crystal Palace launched a spirited comeback, with Mateta scoring twice—first in the 47th minute and again from the spot in injury time.
This draw leaves Leicester looking to rebound quickly.
Fatawu Issahaku has been a key part of the squad, featuring in all four games so far this season and providing one assist.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Jordan Ayew, who switched to Crystal Palace in the summer, lasted 83 minutes in this encounter.
