Collins Owusu Amankwah
Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwah, is staging a comeback for the seat as he is once again being touted as the new leader to help the constituency grow.
According to him, many of the projects he started during his tenure are still incomplete and he plans to return to complete them.
He believes that delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency will support his candidacy on Saturday at the party’s parliamentary primary.
Mr. Amankwah told journalists at a news conference in Kumasi yesterday that he is delighted to see the constituency develop.
About 720 delegates drawn from seven electoral areas, including Yenyawoso, Buokrom, Krofrom East, Krofrom West, Duase, Dote Quarry and Moshie Zongo, in the constituency will be voting on Saturday.
The former MP said four out of the seven electoral areas are for his bid to lead the constituency for this year’s general election.
Collins Owusu Amankwah is number two on the ballot.
