Hearts of Oak suffered another home defeat, this time at the hands of Aduana FC, as they failed to capitalise on their previous win in the Ghana Premier League.
A lone goal from Kelvin Obeng powered Aduana FC to a 1-0 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday. Obeng found the back of the net within the initial 10 minutes, and Aduana successfully defended their lead until the final whistle.

Hearts of Oak entered the contest with optimism after a convincing 3-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea, hoping to maintain their momentum on home turf.
However, Aduana FC dominated possession and consistently threatened Hearts of Oak’s defense, ultimately preventing them from registering a single shot on target.
Prior to this match, Aduana FC had been struggling with a four-match winless streak, jeopardising their pursuit of the title. This crucial victory, however, catapulted them to third place, reigniting their hopes for a second-spot finish.
In stark contrast, Hearts of Oak find themselves dangerously close to the drop zone, sitting just five points clear with four rounds remaining in a challenging campaign. This marks back-to-back home defeats for the Phobians, following their previous loss to Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak currently have 38 points after 30 games and sit 12th on the table. Their recent form has been concerning, with just two wins and six losses in their last eight games.
The mounting pressure and turbulent season have left Hearts of Oak in a precarious position, needing a swift turnaround to avoid further decline as the season draws to a close.
