The Chief Executive Officer of Empire Domus Group Limited, Emmanuel Kojo Jones-Mensah, has thrown himself in the race to becoming the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Keta Constituency.
The popular business mogul officially announced his bid on Thursday, February 23.
The move comes barely a year after he took the internet by storm regarding his plush wedding ceremony.
“I have officially picked up [forms for] the upcoming NDC parliamentary in Keta slated for May 13,” he stated.
“In coming to the decision to enter the parliamentary race, I have taken cognisance of the current state of the underdevelopment, alarming poverty level, youth unemployment, failing educational standards and general decadence of Keta Constituency, to which there is urgent need for paradigm shift.”
Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey is currently the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Keta Constituency.
Mr Jones-Mensah admits the constituency is “a spiritual home” for the NDC and “a significant part” of the World Bank description of the party.
“It belies the fact that serious, strategic and transformational leadership must always come from Keta Constituency to lift it and the entire Anlo State onto a path of success and development.”
He stressed that he has been a dedicated member of the NDC.
