
One of Ghana’s most followed TikTok influencer on the social app share with Berla Mundi on the Day Show the lucrativeness of being a TikToke star or influencer.
Erkuah spoke about the time before she joined TikTok. She disclosed that she could barely afford to take care of herself, revealing that she couldn’t buy herself a wig and owned only two pairs of shoes.
Now, she makes thousands of cedis weekly from TikTok.
“This is how we make our money. When people like brands come to us, and they want us to advertise something for them, I charge you and make a video for you. Song promotions. And we also make money through live streams.”
Wesley Kesse and Emma Ifeanyi also shared their TikTok success stories.
All three agreed that in a day of active live streaming, one can easily make a total of Gh10,000 cedis in dollar equivalent.
For Emma Ifeanyi, he stopped working in a water packaging warehouse because his salary was Ghc500, but he made Gh2,000 in a week.
“I went home and downloaded TikTok. And in one week, I made Ghc2,000 cedis. In a week because I was just starting.”
