Laweh University College has provided a three-day cyber security training for selected personalities from various field of work – security, academia, banking and others.
The training comes on the back of increased incident of hacking of data.
Organizers of the training believed that the right knowledge and skills to prevent such e-crimes would be of great benefit to organizations hence the exercise.
Consulting President of Laweh University College, Professor Goski Alabi told journalists on the sidelines of the event that the training was to equip participants with the skills to identify cyber security threats.
“Basically, this is the Laweh Open University College Cyber security data protection workshop.
“The whole idea is to provide the platform for continued national development for people who are into some kind of information management and cyber security in their work places or individuals who want to develop skills in the field of cyber security.
“The aim is to provide people with the needed skills and the knowledge for cyber intelligence, for identifying cyber risk in a timely manner and provide them with the tools and techniques to manage risks that may come up,” she said.
One of the participants from the Ghana Police Service said the training was going to help whim carry out is duties up to near perfection.
Another participant, Claudia Konkuri said “I should be able to know much better about cyber security and data protection.”
