Speaking in a pre-match interview, Prince Yaw Owusu stressed that Asante Kotoko must be at their best to progress to the next stage, insisting that form will not matter on the matchday.
“City rivals, it doesn’t matter the form the other one has. It’s about who wants it the most,” the Kotoko assistant coach told AKSC Media.
While he admits the match will be tough, coach Owusu is confident that the Kotoko players will put up a top performance to eliminate King Faisal.
“So we have to urge them on that this is a game we have to win, and then we push them to do that. It’s not going to be easy, but I know these boys will see us through,” he said.
The Round 32 clash against King Faisal will kick off at 3 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
