Albert Amoah’s first-half strike secured a 1-0 win for Asante Kotoko against champions Samartex at the Len Clay Stadium, propelling Kotoko to second place.
Samartex struggled to make an impact, failing to register a shot on target as Kotoko dominated the game to extend their unbeaten run at home.
Dreams FC’s winless streak continued after a goalless draw with Hearts of Oak at the Tuba Astroturf. Hearts failed to register a shot on target for the second time in four matches, while Dreams managed just one. Both sides created chances but couldn’t find a breakthrough, leaving Hearts ninth and Dreams in the relegation zone.
At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Vision FC and Bechem United played out a thrilling 1-1 draw. Edmond Asante gave Vision the lead in the 85th minute, but Bechem’s Kofi Tompuo equalised just three minutes later. Despite dominating possession, Vision couldn’t secure all three points.
Meanwhile, Bibiani GoldStars held onto their top spot with a 2-0 victory over Aduana, while Medeama bounced back with a narrow 1-0 win over Nations FC. Nsoatreman enjoyed a 2-0 home win against Holy Stars, and Berekum Chelsea secured a 3-1 triumph over Legon Cities.
With these results, the league table is beginning to take shape, with Bibiani GoldStars leading the pack as teams continue to fight for position.
