The Ministry of Communication has been urged to intensify education on cyber security before it attempts to implement the policy on Cyber Security.
President of Cyber Ghana, Samuel Owusu made this suggestion in Sunyani during the Brong Ahafo Cyber Security Conference 2018.
The Brong Ahafo Cyber Security Conference was organized by the Students’ Representative Council, Graduate Students’ Association of the University of Energy and Natural Resources and Cyber Ghana.
It was attended by students and people in the ICT business in the Region.
The conference was to equip the participants on cyber security with the increasing of social media fraud, mobile money, Cyber Crime incident handling and career opportunities in cyber security.
President of Cyber Ghana Samuel Owusu speaking at the Cyber Security Conference which was under the theme “Promoting Cyber Security in Ghana, the Role of All Stakeholders” noted that the Ministry of Communication must do more by intensifying education on cyber security before it starts to implement the policy on cyber security adopted by Parliament in 2016.
According to Mr. Owusu the time allocated for education before the implementation of the policy is not enough.
