Constituency Secretaries and their Deputies of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have declared their unflinching support for the regional Secretary Sam Pyne.
According to them, Mr Pyne did incredible work for the party to win the December 2016 general elections.
The Atwima Nwabiagya South Secretary Foster Amankwaa speaking on behalf of all the 94 secretaries including deputies in an interview with Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo said the party needs committed and hardworking executives in the region like Sam Pyne to win the 2020 elections.
Foster Amankwaa disclosed that they are committed to work hard for Sam Pyne to ensure that he emerges the winner in the coming NPP regional elections.
“We have declared our support for Sam Pyne but those who intend to contest him should do so but we will make sure Sam Pyne retains his position for the party to do well in the region.
‘We need vibrant secretary like Sam Pyne, we will continue to work for Sam Pyne in our various constituencies to ensure that he emerges the winner in the coming regional elections of the party,” he said.
He added that 2020 elections without Sam Pyne as regional secretary for NPP will be a tough fight for the party in the region.
