The Central Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS), Dr. Alexis Nang- Beifubah says, the region recorded modest health successes in 2017 as a result of resources which were readily available for community level health service delivery.
The Regional Director made this revelation during the 2017 Annual Performance Review Meeting of the regional health service.
Addressing participants, Dr. Nang -Beifubah gave details of some improvements seen and advised stakeholders to ensure more successes are recorded this year.
Dr. Nang-Beifubah also said the region did not record outbreaks of epidemic prone diseases including cholera.
He attributed this success to the Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan’s efforts in ensuring that sanitation is at its best in the region.
The Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan lauded the directorate for their hard work and said the regional coordinating council will be partners in ensuring that the health sector achieves the best.
He however urged them to pay particular attention to attitude of medical attendants.
The meeting which was on the theme “ACHIEVING THE HEALTH SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDG’S) THROUGH EFFECTIVE STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT” was chaired by the Omanhen of Abeadze Dominase, Daasebere Kwebu Ewusi VI.
