A business advisory group named 21st century business opportunities has begun a campaign to teach young people to begin establishing multiple streams of income.
Lead advocate and business manager for the group Julius Ayumasu contends that the concept of having and earning from one job has led to several families relapsing into poverty.
Speaking to Ultimate News on the sidelines of a conference held for some young people in Kumasi Mr Ayimasu told Ultimate News the vision of the centre is to groom young business leaders to diversify their income earning activities a concept he calls passive incomes.
‘Linear income is where an individual makes money only when he does one thing meaning that when he stops doing what he is doing, the money stops coming. We have come to the realization that linear incomes has devastated many African Homes.
We have had a lot of people who were doing very well on their jobs, they went on retirement and that was all and this is what we talk about that we cannot become financially free by doing that,’ he observed.
Mr. Ayimasu is confident the concept which has begun making waves across the world will spell a good future of financial independence for young entrepreneurs in Ghana.
