A power tool manufacturing company Bosch has partnered management of the Accra Technical Training (ATTC) to train its students on modern machines.
The students were given tools in which they will pay in installment during their three year stay in school.
The training was done during the 50th anniversary of ATTC in Accra last Saturday.
The Principal of ATTC Ernest Asare Bediako said they would use the anniversary to improve on their teaching skills and equip their departments with the state-of the-art machines.
‘After this celebration, we are giving in-service training to our teachers. We want to equip our departments with the necessary and modern technical equipment. So that they will be able to operate machines they will find outside after school,’ he said.
He said some of their students who have the dreams of pursuing to the university level can do so.

The Principal indicated that the partnership with Bosch was to help the students start up their businesses after completion of school.
He said they are faced with infrastructural challenges especially the classrooms saying most of their equipment are now obsolete.
On his part, the West African country Director of Bosch Bengy Ofori said it was a privilege to partner ATTC to empower artisans by setting up their tools on the school’s compound.
‘…We want to ensure that when students leave school, they can have their own tools, to be able to start their own profession. We want to create change by empowering artisans,’ he said.
He encouraged artisans to desist from using fake tools which will end up cause damage.
Bosch provided ten trainers who took the students through the use of the machines.
ATTC was established in July, 1956 between Canadian and Ghanaian government to train master crafts men and offer skilled training to JHS leavers.
