The ad hoc committee chaired by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Essikado-Ketan constituency Joe Ghartey to investigate the bribery allegations leveled against some members of the Appointments Committee of Parliament will present its report to Parliament on Wednesday March 29, 2017.
The business statement read on the floor of Parliament on Friday March 24, 2017 said the committee will lay its report today.
The committee began its sittings on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central Mahama Ayariga in January accused the Chairman of the committee, Joe Osei-Owusu of offering the minority bribe through the Chief Whip, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak after the vetting of the Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko.
The lawmaker further claimed he heard a rumour that the Energy Minister gave the bribe to the Chairman to be given to the minority for his approval.
Mr Agyarko, Alhaji Muntaka and Mr Osei-Owusu have since denied the allegations.
