A group calling itself Concern members of Banda Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region is threatening to launch xenophobic attacks on non indigenes working in the area.
In a notification letter issued by the group, it warned government workers to vacate the town because they can no longer guarantee their safety.
According to the irate group, strangers have taken over job opportunities in the area making it difficult for indigenes to access jobs.
They further accused non indigenes of interfering in their parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Service (GES) is said to have closed schools in the community.
Civil servants and teachers have been forced by the situation to vacate their posts fearing for their lives.
They are therefore calling on the security agencies and the government to intervene in the matter to prevent the untoward.
