The Minister Designate for Interior Ambrose Dery has assured that Ghanaians will witness class AA performance in his ministry and the other ministries as a whole as they take over the affairs of the country in the next four years.
‘I think it is a very good team, a well planned thing H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has well considered and taken a decision. I have always had confidence in his sense of judgement and I have not be let down. Absolutely, Ghanaians are going to see class AA performance in governance,’ he pledged.
Mr Dery pledged that an Akufo-Addo’s government will not disappoint Ghanaians for reposing confidence in them.
He anticipated that Ghana is going to be safer under the leadership of the President as it stands now.
Speaking on Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko, the Interior Minister Designate explained that the President doesn’t believe in draconian power but power that is accountable.
According to him, the President has carefully nominated Ministers who will be accountable in their dealings and that arbitrariness will not be allowed.
‘This President has a high pedigree as a human rights lawyer, and he is committed to ensuring that Ghana becomes a safer place than it is now, under his able leadership, Ghana will be an attractive place for businesses, and a better place for Ghanaians,’ he expressed hope.
Touching on resolving crime and chieftaincy conflicts up North and parts of the country, he assured that the rule of law will be applied in all cases.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nandom said he sees his nomination as a challenge to serve Ghana in humility, expressing optimism that the challenge will be surmounted.
He said security is a collective responsibility calling on Ghanaians to collaborate with government in solving security issues bedevilling the country.
‘Its about being a servant Minister, Ghanaians should expect a minister who is committed to discharging my obligations to the President and to Ghana, and conscious of the fact that Ghanaians are looking up to the President to deliver and I believe with the help of God it shall be well, and it is well,’ he promised.
