Court of Appeal for Southern Norrland on Tuesday adjourned trials of Kwame Bonsu
Jailed Ghanaian footballer's case has been adjourned to the next 14 days by Court of Appeal for Southern Norrland.
The case was not heared on Tuesday because the prosecuter wants to invite more witnesses and also Bonsu has requested for his lawyer to be replaced.
Kwame Bonsu was sentenced to two years in prison for raping and assaulting his wife last month, but he has the chance to apeal against the ruling.
And after serving his sentence, Kwame Bonsu, who is a player of second tier side Gefle IF, will be deported from the Scandinavian country where he has lived since 2013, Gävle District Court said.
According to court documents seen by The Local he will also have to pay 122,600 kronor ($14,000) in compensation to his wife, who is a Swedish national.
