A four-day British Boarding School Expo has successfully ended at the Accra Regent Hotel with an impressive turnout.
Given the success of the programme, organisers of the Expo – Everything’s Education in the UK, are considering the possibility of replicating the Expo in other parts of the country sooner than later.
The Expo was to provide the opportunity for Ghanaian parents and guardians who are interested in educating their children in the UK, to acquaint themselves with the processes involved in making an educational transition for their wards between the ages of 5-18 years. For those seeking scholarship opportunities for their wards, the Expo also offered a great resource and information hub, to procure adequate information.
The expo was a showcase of a wide variety of UK boarding schools, which included Stover School, Queen Anne’s School, St Edwards College Malta, Lucton School, ACS Cobham and Woodbridge School, to name but a few. It was a great eye-opener for some of the participants whose level of knowledge about the positive aspects of the British Education system was low.
The Chief Executive of Everything’s Education, Elaine Cunningham-Walker, was thoroughly impressed with the outcome of the Expo. As the organizer of the event, she added that it was her hope that participants will take advantage of the numerous opportunities available in the UK education system. This was reiterated by some participants at the Expo who could not hide their joy in anticipation of the cross-cultural experience and education that their wards could benefit from in the coming years.
