The police administration has increased security at the Kwabenya Police Station days after it was attacked.
A number of armed personnel have been added for the day and nightly duties, a move the police believe will avert any future invasion.
A policeman was killed in a dawn attack on Sunday after armed gang men invaded the station. At least seven armed robbery suspects broke jail and have since been on the run.

Suspects on the run
The attack, though not the first, has left many worried about the dire security situation in the country.
The Minister of Interior, the IGP and other police chiefs have been summoned to Parliament to explain to members what is being done to avert future attacks.
The Member of Parliament, Adwoa Safo has also visited the police station and the wife of the police inspector who was shot in the fatal attack.
The successful attack on the Kwabenya Police Station has been blamed on the poor security at the station on the night of the attack.
Only six policemen were said to be on duty with only one armed, Joy News’ Komla Adom has learnt.
The police have however beefed up security to protect lives and property.
Joy News has learnt the Accra Police Region has conducted a number of swoops in the region but no suspect directly linked to Sunday’s attack has yet been arrested.
