Director of Legal Division at the National Communications Authority (NCA), Abena Asafu-Adjei, has told an Accra High Court, she had no knowledge of a $4million contract signed between the Authority and Infralocks Development Limited in 2015.
Abena testified today as a prosecution witness in the case arising from the contract that has seen former Board Chair, Eugene Baffoe-Bonnie; former CEO of NCA, William Mathew Tevie and three others charged with causing financial loss to the state.

Led to give evidence by Director for Public Prosecution, Yvonne Atakora Obuobisa, Mrs. Asafu-Adjei told the court as head of the NCA's legal division, she is responsible for the drafting of contractual documents and also has custody over them.
When handed the contract document in court she denied knowledge explaining, she only came across it when the investigator handling the case came to her office and handed the document to her.
She added that she conducted checks in her department and did not find a copy of the document in her custody.
Mrs. Asafu-Adjei said a cursory look at the document revealed it had been signed by former Director General of NCA, William Tevie, who is also before the court.
