The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced Sunday, January 5, 2020, as a general school reopening day for Senior High School (SHS) Form three students.
According to GES, the date was to enable the final year students to have ample time to prepare for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
A statement issued and signed in Accra yesterday by the Head of Public Relations, Ms Cassandra Twum, said Form one and Form two students of the Green Track as well as Form one Gold Track students would also reopen on the same date to complete their first semester.
“The students were expected to return over the weekend to ensure that full academic work resumes on Monday, January 6, 2020,” it added.
However, Form twos on the Gold Track would resume on March 1, 2020 and were expected to have a full session to continue and finish part of their first semester as well as also continue through to the 2nd semester for the 2019/2020 academic year.
