Two people died when the vehicle they were travelling on collided head-on with an on-coming one on the Ejura-Asante-Mampong highway, in the Ashanti Region, last Sunday.
The bodies of the deceased, who are yet to be identified, have been deposited at the Mampong Zion Praise Hospital, and 13 others who were injured in the road crash were receiving treatment at the hospital.
An Eye witnesses told the Ghanaian Times that a Ssangyong passenger bus with registration number AW 6665-12 collided head-on with a Hyundai Sportage salon car with registration number GS 3076-11 after the driver of the bus lost control.
According to the report the bus with 15 occupants somersaulted in the process and police were later called to the scene to control traffic.
This is the third reported road crash in the region since the beginning of the year, with the previous ones being the killing of six passengers at Drobonsu in the Afram Plains, and the eight killed at a spot near Ejisu.
