Former President Mahama and Prof Alabi
Two presidential aspirants of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Mahama and Joshua Alabi have announced that they will file their nominations to contest the flagbearership of the party today.
Former President Mahama met with former appointees of his government in Accra last Wednesday where he indicated that he would present his nomination forms today was confirmed by his campaign manager, Joseph Agyenim Boateng.
He expressed appreciation for the donations and support that his campaign had received from ordinary people and will speak to journalist at the Trade Fair Centre, Accra on a wide range of topical issues, including the misgovernance, deception by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and attempt by the government to introduce drone technology in the health delivery system.
Relatedly, Professor Joshua Alabi is also scheduled to submit his nomination forms today was confirmed by Richard Quashigah, the spokesperson for Prof Alabi.
According to Mr Quashigah, the candidature of Prof. Alabi has received overwhelming support across the country and currently campaigning in the Ashanti Region, is very upbeat and thankful to the numerous NDC members, supporters and sympathisers who have thrown their weight behind his candidature.
In his Facebook post, the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) said “my victory2020 for the NDC, is to revolutionise agriculture, create businesses and unleash unprecedented job opportunities for our teeming unemployed youth, I am determined to build a just society that offers opportunity to the citizenry, irrespective of your upbringing,”
