The police have arrested another person connected to the murder of Lance Corporal Nicholas Duku which took place in Bogoso four months ago.
Corporal Duku was allegedly murdered whilst on duty when armed robbers stormed the Plates and Plummes at Bogoso in the Western Region.
Narrating his arrest, Director-General of Police Intelligence, Commissioner of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno said on September 20, Mohammed was arrested and placed in custody at the Odorkor Police for causing harm.
Luck, however, ran out for him when the police identified him as one of the suspects in the said robbery.
COP Yohuno said suspect confessed to the robbery and subsequence murder of the cop.
He said Mohammed is currently assisting in investigations, adding that he would soon be transferred to the Tarkwa Police Command for due process.
The Director-General said a foreign pistol, magazines and a taxi cab believed to be proceeds of the robbery had been retrieved by the Police.
He added that four suspects have been arrested at Tarkwa and have been arraigned.
