Kumasi Asante Kotoko will this weekend know where they stand in the title race when they face fierce enemies Aduana Stars at the Dormaa Park.
The porcupine warriors who have been over taken at the top of the Ghana Premier League table have never won a match at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa since Aduana Stars gained promotion.
Aduana Stars were stopped last weekend by Legon Cities after winning three consecutive matches in the league.
Head coach of the side Asare Bediako says that the long standing tradition of Asante Kotoko losing at the Dormaa Park will not change under his watch.
Aduana Stars whose title ambitions have evaporated are looking to put a spanner in the wheels of Asante Kotoko this weekend.
“Kotoko has never won a match at Dormaa since we joined the premiership.
“I am bent on maintaining that tradition on Sunday, by ensuring we beat them to pick the three maximum points,” the Aduana Stars coach said in an interview.
Coach Asare Bediako continued, “It is not under my leadership as a coach that the team will lose to Kotoko. Beating them on Saturday is a must.”
Aduana Stars will host Asante Kotoko on Saturday 3pm at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
