The Executive Director of Addapath Wellness, Mr. Okwan John Kwasi Addai, said the programme sought to promote hand hygiene in schools by inculcating the habit of proper hand washing in school children.
He noted that the best way to get out of the COVID-19 menace is to strictly adhere to the preventive protocols as outlined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Ghana Health Service.
Mr. Addai said his NGO is into preventive health care and used the platform to invite volunteers to join Addapath to help prevent people from getting the disease.
Madame Angela Owusu Bemma, member of the Addapath Wellness team and a nurse by profession took the pupils through proper hand washing techniques.
Two schools were presented with boxes of carbolic soap by Addapath Wellness at the end of the exercise.
Madam Mary Ajara Alhassan, head teacher of Boete‘B’ Primary on behalf of the schools thanked Addapath for the sensitisation and the presentation of the soap.
