On concerns that Holy Family Hospital is a treatment centre for Covid-19 in the Bono Region, the Omanhene said: “We should all be calm. This is nothing to worry about. All preventive protocols must be adhered to by the public, and nobody should take chances with regards to the disease.”
According to Nana Amankona Diawuo, the wearing of face masks would now be mandatory in Berekum. “The Traditional Council will collaborate with the police to ensure the wearing of face masks to all public places in Berekum, especially markets and transport stations, is enforced,” he said.

He assured Nananom (chiefs) to make good use of the items. “Facilities with no or limited gun thermometers will be provided,” he added.
