The Bono Regional Security Council,(REGSEC), chaired by the Regional Minister, Mrs Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson has lifted the ban on the use and patronage of tricycles (Pragyia) for carrying of passengers for commercial purposes, with effect from Monday, 27th April, 2020.
The REGSEC, in a statement, cautioned tricycle riders to adhere to COVID-19 safety measures.
Mrs Kumi-Richardson said the REGSEC has directed the Regional Executives of the Motorcycle Owners and Tricycle Riders Association (MOTRA) to ensure that all tricycles are registered by Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) while riders too must acquire license.
She said as a precautionary measure to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the region, the council has directed all riders to wear nose masks and make sure that passengers also wear their masks before boarding their machines.
