The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appealed to families who have lost loved ones before or within the lockdown period to go for their bodies and privately bury them to ease pressure on mortuaries across the country.
However, he ordered that such families must respect the 25 burial team directive he gave earlier , as a way to limit the number of people that may converge for such funerals.
President Akufo-Addo says mortuaries are getting filled by the day, a development he said, comes with its own health hazards, thus the need to bury the dead.
