The Ghana Police Service has revealed that the two Nigerien nationals who have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Ghana, are refusing to submit to treatment.
According to the Ghana Police Service the duo, who have been sent to the national treatment center, have been returned to the Police holding facility as a matter of necessity. In a statement, the Service noted that government officials are liaising with the Ambassador to Niger on the matter.
The statement however assured that, “No Police Officer has or will come into contact with the two, however, every necessary step is being taken by police medical team to safeguard Police Officers and our facility.”
It also reminded the public to “continue to cooperate with the Police and Security Services to help curb the spread of the COVID-19. Stay home and stay safe, as we keep the frontline”.
