The National Youth Authority as part of its Coronavirus (Covid-19) Youth Campaign, has donated assorted essential medical equipment to the Ministry of Health in support of Ghana’s efforts at combating the pandemic.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr. Sylvester Tetteh, was joined by Francisca Oteng Mensah, who is the Board Chairperson of the Authority, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) Board Member and National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nelson Owusu Ansah, Deputy CEO of the NYA, and some directors of the Authority in presenting the essential items to the Ministry of Health.
The items, which are worth GH¢700,000, include 200,000 gloves, 2,000 cardinal health Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs,) 1000 re-useable PPEs, 400 goggles, 5,000 hand sanitisers and many other essential items.
The Minister, together with his team and management, were grateful to the National Youth Authority for the timely support.
The National Youth Authority recently launched the ‘Covid-19 Youth Campaign’. The authority is seeking to rally the youth, through this campaign, in mobilising the needed support for the government’s fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
