The Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA), which is mandated to implement constituency special projects under the Special Development Initiatives and Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication projects (IPEP), has rolled out a number of projects for the Kwadaso Constituency.
These include the construction of an Astroturf football pitch, construction of two green grass football pitches, a handicrafts training centre to create employment for the youth in the constituency, and a Community Library/ICT Centre.
Other projects considered by the MBDA for the constituency are a children’s park at Ohwimase, and reshaping and patching of roads in selected communities. The projects are being funded under the $1 million per constituency initiative.
Mr. Vincent Yaw Frimpong Manu, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Middle Belt Development Authority and a New Patriotic Party parliamentary aspirant for the Kwadaso Constituency, mentioned these when he presented 200 street lights and accessories as part of the package to the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly for distribution to communities across the constituency.
Mr. Manu said the projects have been awarded on contract to enhance infrastructural development in the constituency. The aspirant, who is also a founding President of the Asante Professionals Club, reminded the party delegates to collectively work and effect a fulfilling change in the Kwadaso Constituency.
He charged that Kwadaso needed a change that provides true leadership, true representation, and true service per servant leadership, and added that it was time to identify the one who is most prepared, has a track record of service to the constituency, knows the constituency, understands the constituents, and is an experienced person to promote community development and make the needed impact.
Mr. Manu also urged the constituents to comply with directives of the President regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and guidelines from health workers in order to stay safe and stop the spread of the disease.
Mr. Richard Agyenim Boateng, Municipal Chief Executive, who received the items, noted that the donation was timely and would improve upon the security of the area.
