To usher themselves into a more fulfilling 2020, many people (Christians and non-christians alike) have gone beyond merely social media proclamation to seeking the face of God in anticipation of a Prosperous New Year, not only for themselves but on behalf of others whose contributions have brought sunshine into their lives.
To the surprise of all, the entire Tema SOS Children's Village went agog on the New Year's Day with the voices of over 600 children heard praying, singing, thanking God and invoking his blessings upon their benefactor, Mr Isaac Tetteh, the Managing Director of the T.T. Brothers Ltd, his family, Management, partners and staff for his magnanimity and love towards them for the past fourteen (14) years in a row especially during the New Year and Easter festivities.
"We are calling on the Almighty God to rain his blessings upon 'Uncle T', his company, family, staff, management, business partners and even his football team to greatly prosper within this new year".
"Jehovah, we pray that you will bless him in abundance and let him continue to be a channel of blessings not only to us but to thousands and millions of other children in the world and in the end we shall continue to give you thanks and glory to your name", their voices echoed.
Mad. Akosua Asamoah, a rep. of the Village Director, who led the kids during a prayer session prior to the celebration of a New Year party held at the forecourt of the Tema SOS Children's village on the new year's day charged the kids to always endeavour to seek the face of God in prayer for Mr Issac Tetteh and his family, his business partners, management and staff.
"I beseech you by the mercies of God that you make it your prayer point or target in your various homes, family, houses, rooms and everywhere to remember TT Brother's in prayer for God to grant him good health, long life and prosperity always".
Mr. Issac Tetteh and his partners have once again renewed their commitment this year to throw a "mammoth party" to put smiles on faces of the kids at the Tema SOS Village on the New Year Day.
An initiative the benevolent MD of TT Brother's Ltd. together with is business partners have been pursuing for the past 14 years which always ends up putting smiles on faces of the children of the Village.
The children were treated to a variety of delicious dishes like Jollof rice, plain rice, chicken, fish as well as mouth-watering local foods like banku & okro soup with fish & meat served with assorted beverages.
The faces of the kids lit up with hope and happiness as they made merry and danced to soothing music with the families, friends and invited guests of T.T. Brothers Ltd including the live performances of Daughters of Glorious Jesus who thrilled the kids to some melodious gospel tunes.
In addition to the great party, T.T. Brothers Limited presented 28 bags of rice, 4 cartons of cooking oil and 15 cartons of "Uncle T" Malt including some assorted products of the company for the daily upkeep of the home.
Mad. Akosua Asamoah, acting upon the direction of Mr Isaac Kojo Ackon, the SOS Village Director at the event received the items on behalf of the orphanage and thanked T.T. Brothers Limited for the gesture.
Delivering his speech at the event, Head of Sales & Marketing at TT Brother's Ltd, Mr Edmund Yogtiba noted that the gesture to fete and donate to the village on festive occasions was not only borne out of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or giving back to the society but a combination of both which is the religious responsibility and CSR.
"As a Christian Company, we believe in what the good book says; 'whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers and sisters, you did for me.' (Matthew 25:40)".
