The deceased, who is yet to be identified, was riding from the Achimota road headed towards the Pokuase stretch when the incident occurred.
Narrating the incident to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, an eyewitness said a trotro driver parked on the main road to pick a passenger but in a bid to prevent crashing into it, the driver of the van he (the eyewitness) was travelling in, which was behind the trotro, hit the brake without knowing there was a motor bike behind him.
In an attempt to swerve the van, the motor rider met his untimely death.
“There was this big truck with cement that was on the left, that was the inner lane of the road. Immediately the van hit a brake all that I saw was that the motor rider went straight under the truck (loaded) with the cement which have about three wheels in the back and as I speak to you the guy is dead.”
He added that the deceased went through all three back tyres of the truck.
At the time of narrating the incident, the body of the deceased was still lying on the road.
The eyewitness blamed the accident on big trucks parked at the bus stop where the trotro driver was supposed to have stopped
