Goals from Awudu Tahiru and Kalibo Dedy Toussaint - after Solomon Obilitey Commey put The Blues in the lead - secured all three points for the Yellow and Mauves in the matchday one rescheduled fixture at Obuasi's Len Clay Stadium.
The victory has sent Medeama above Asante Kotoko at the top of the table in Zone A, with two points separating the two sides.

"They played well according to my instructions.
"We are aware that any team facing Medeama SC prepare so well since they know the type of game we play."
Commey put second-from-bottom Chelsea in the lead in the 27th minute before Tahiru hit back for the away side five minutes later.
Two minutes to half-time, Medeama went ahead as Toussaint netted what turned out to be the winner.
The game was played in Obuasi due to a home ban on The Blues' Golden City Park in Berekum for hooliganism.
