Taylor was an influential goal poacher during his days with both the Porcupine Warriors and Hearts of Oak but his loyalty in this particular game was undecided due to his complaint about bad treatment from the Accra-based side and the circumstances that led to his switch from Hearts to Kotoko in 2003.
For now it appears the ex-Etoile du Sahel attacker has overcome that bitterness and ready to face one of his foes and once stalwart at the heart of Kotoko’s defense, Joe Hendricks.
Hendricks who stood at over six foot terrorised most attackers with his imposing frame during his playing days with Kotoko alongside the 37-year-old Taylor. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity of playing from the opposite ends and the attacker believes this is an opportunity to test his skill against the giant defender.
Hearts of Oak could be pairing Taylor and Prince Tagoe up front with other great local players expected to represent the Rainbow club.
At the other end, the Porcupine Warriors would have Eric Bekoe also leading the attack for Kotoko with other surprise names set to show up for this important game that would against evoke memories between the two arch-rivals.
Though a friendly encounter, victory would still offer the winning team the bragging right which has existed between the two clubs for several decades. Read Full Story
