A fortnight ago, the midfielder underwent trials with the Malaysian club but on Wednesday, the 25-year-old midfielder signed the contract after which he was officially introduced to the leadership of the club and his teammates at a short ceremony.
“I have finally signed for PKNP FC. It’s just for one season but it is renewable. I have been under trails and medicals for the past two weeks and it was successful. I have also been able to retrieve my ITC [International Transfer Certificate] from my former club, Ismaily FC,” he told Graphic Sports Online over the telephone.
The versatile player terminated his contract with Egyptian side Ismaily FC in July 2018 after joining them in January 2018 on a two-year contract.

Abbey is the second Ghanaian to join PKNP FC after Alfred Okai Quaye, formerly of Berekum Chelsea. He was a member of the Black Stars 'B' team that won the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament held in Ghana in 2017.
His was in fantastic form for Hearts during the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League season, which saw him win the 2017 Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Local Footballer of the Year Award. Read Full Story
