Aston Villa coach sanctions new deal for Albert Adomah

Winger Albert Adomah is set to be handed a new long-term contract by Championship side Aston Villa.

The Ghana international has been revived by new manager Dean Smith who is determined to see the player extend his stay at Villa Park.

Adomah was in top shape last season when he scored 15 goals which helped Villa to the playoffs.

The 30-year-old who is injured missed Saturday's impressive 3-0 win at Middlesbrough.

They are currently three points off the Championship play-off places
